Then sign this petition to have surplus M14s sold to the public (after they've been rendered semi-auto only, of course) rather than turned to scrap that will be sold to the Chinese. :o

For an online petition, this has done quite well. Almost 30k sigs.

meh ill sign it but its never going to happen.

The least they could do is let us buy the scrap back after polytech melts it :o

Signed and keeping fingers crossed. This would be a sweet addition to the CMP.

Signed this a year or two ago, but realistically, it's not going anywhere. It'd be awesome, don't get me wrong, but between the "Once a machinegun, always a machinegun" BATFE rule, Obama presidency, and the fact that the .mil is issuing M14s as DMRs and the like all over again, it's insanely unlikely.

    I hope it works tho.

I don't think they would let this happen since it would set the precedent and they might end up having to do the same thing with evil black rifles when they get old... Not that they HAVE to but someone will argue the precedent makes it a bad idea.

    Would be badass though!

    I thought M14s were already semi-auto?

I once had a coworker offer to sell me an M14 for $500. I never asked him how he got it, nor did I want to know :hsugh: I'm assuming he stole it while he was in the military, but it was still hard to say no :o

    :dunno:

He said it was an M14, and showed me a few pics. I never actually fondled it myself. Looked like a real one, but it could have been a knock off I guess. Knowing this guy, though, it was a stolen gun :mamoru:

    Dontcha hate that?

I get people offering me cool shit for cheap all the time, but it's always of shady origins. Last month there was a guy wanting to trade me a north African G3 (as in, not semi), with another FA lower for one of my CZ's. Tempting, but had to turn him down. I have no interest in racking up felony charges on a gun (though there may/may not be a local sheriff that shoots with me who owns a similar rifle, and uses it to cut down trees with).

Cincinnati had some bullshit talking about the illegal gun trade that goes on there, and it always made me wonder just what these gentlemen had for sale. Wonder how much a high-end 1911 goes for "on the streets"?

Bullshit. They are cheap garbage. The reciever is made of the shittiest metal I have ever seen on a firearm. The corners and shit are not even. Two of my co-workers bought them on a whim and they are complete pieces of shit. They also jam like bastards.

yeah, the CF has a few of them for foreign weapons training. They are not excellent quality by any means but they are not nearly as shitty as the norchinkos

I'm familiar with how well they are built. I've never seen someone that didn't like theirs. The only thing I've heard is to upgrade the operating rod.
