do you have goals that conflict with each other?

    i know i do.

    bench 315 for reps
    squat atg 315 for reps
    deadlift 405 for reps
    run 3 miles in under 30 minutes
    20 pullups
    standing backflip

    some days i want to be large and scary strong, striking fear into the hearts of small children.

    other days, i want to fit into my jeans. :rant2:

    I see no reason why you can't achieve all of the goals listed.

    Edit: But yes, I do have some conflicting goals. I want both an extreme level of muscular development and cardiovascular development. At the level that I want them, I have found that I can't sustain both.

    yea, exactly. i want to be light and lean but i dont want to be skinny.

    the weight i'd like to be is @ 200lbs because at that weight, i feel like i wont be too heavy to surf/bike/swim without breaking things. plus, i'll fit into my clothes.

    however, at 6'3 200lbs is pretty skinny and i want to be large.

    I want good, visible abs but I also can't hit my lifting goals without eating a lot.

    I'm over most of the diet issues. Being told you're borderline diabetic and seeing what it does to people in your family = big eye opener.

    my grandfather died of heart issues and he was diabetic to the point he had to measure his foods.

    my dad's diabetic too but not at the same level. he's also already outlived my grandfather by maybe 10 years.

    i should probably lay off the sugar.

    My grandmother lost a leg to it. My aunt ballooned up and died in her 50s with sweets hidden all over the house. :hsd:

    magical tips? i will probably give it a shot this summer, on the beach.

    i'm ok off the diving board and used to be able to do back handsprings (until i landed on my head one morning while hungover)

    it's just one of those things i've had on my list of things to do for 11ty years, like learning to solve the rubik's cube. :mamoru:

    yes. stay at my 190-200lb body weight strength but also compete in xc and triathlons well (160is lbs)... doesn't/can't/won't happen

    Yeah.

    I race triathlons and getting big is difficult when you run, bike and swim over 90 miles per week.

    I'm still strong for my weight, about 148 right now, but I'd like some more mass if it didn't affect my race performance.
