must be drinking a lot of coffee
instant coffee in protein powder taste pretty pretty good
I like black coffee I wouldn't want to sweeten it or make it thicker w/ protein powder.
coffee is diuretic ... so is protein...so your system wont absorb the protein as much , but for a flavoring / milk substitute its ok. i like black coffee more
for me i NEED coffee in the morning because i'm up at around 5:00am. I figure I might try to kill two birds with one stone here or maybe just get an egg mcmuffin with no cheese(250 cal + 14g protein or some shit)
egg mcmuffin isn't terrible for you, but you'd be better of making one yourself in the morning
I'm not a big fan of coffee... I add in protein powder into my greek yogurt or the milk in my cereal depending on my mood...
I add coffee to my protein powder.
Just mix mine with water.
i dont drink coffee
I remember when people talked about microwaving protein, and then we found out that heating it destroyed some of the good stuff in the powder, or somethign like that.
Would this not also happen by putting it in coffee?
I put it in my oatmeal.
sometimes on the weekend i'll throw 2 bannanas, a cup of oats, and 2 scoops of protein powder into a pot of coffee, blend it all up in the blender. and drink it throughout the my morning as meal #1 of the day (this cools everything down considerably) So you then have to reheat it up cup by cup. But its pretty damned good.
During the work week this isn't feasible.
might be feasible for me. do you just use uncooked old fashioned oatmeal?
yeppers. It makes for a pretty thick "cup of coffee" (which i like) altho really, at that point its a bit of a stretch to call it coffee.
raw oats + whey + honey + water + peanut butter
I blend a bunch of stuff for my morning meal/ pre workout fuel:
1 scoop whey, chocolate or vanilla work best
1/2 cup oats
honey in a squeeze bottle aint healthy
No, because the entire point of coffee for me is that it's *coffee*. I want a shake, I'll make a shake.
