Do you guys ever get really sore out of nowhere?

    Yesterday I did squats. I usually do a warmup set and 3 work sets and I rarely get sore at all, maybe a little bit in the glutes but that's it. Yesterday I did a light warmup and only 2 work sets nowhere near maximal effort, one was a set of 8 reps and one was a set of 4 reps.

    Today I wake up and I can barely sit on the toilet it hurts so bad. No real variation in diet, sleep, hydration, vitamin consumpsion, etc :dunno:

    You probably slept wrong, that happens to me sometimes. Or you may be getting sick with something like the flu.

    Did you do your squats any differently? I did my lunges a little slower tempo than normal and holy fuck my quads are sore.

    Nope. I did my warmup set quick and explosive as always and the work sets slow and controlled as always.

    weird..i usually get sore as fuck from doing lots of high volume intense sets. Your diet/sleep must be shitty.

    nah... my diet is fine, not as clean as it could be but still pretty clean, only drinking one night a week for the last couple months, and I always get 8-10 hours of sleep
