Do you ever have one of those days where you're just out of it completely?

    I went to the gym today as usual but man, it seemed I lost all my strength, I couldn't even lift my usual weights, it was embarrassing. I was so freaking out of it, and not intense at all, when I tried to get intense and back into the groove I just failed my sets, WTF?! :ugh:

    I am just going to have to hit the gym even harder now tomorrow. :hs:

    I am eating 3500 cals a day, clean bulking and constantly getting 9-10 hours of sleep per day. :confused: :hs:

    Everyone has been telling me that... I think I might be over training :o ... I am at the gym 6 days a week.... I don't know, I can't function the rest of my day unless I hit the gym. It's part of my daily habit/routine. :hs:

    Take a break, just do some other physical activity.

    All the time.

    Make sure you're thoroughly hydrated and just take a day off. I usually push through it, but if it really bothers you then go home and chill out and come back the next day.

    yesterday. I was into my 3rd set of squats and thought a truck hit me. I mustered the energy and finished up but it wasn't the most effective workout to say the least.

    Men do have a 45ish day hormone cycle, like a womans cycle. their symptoms usually are like that - hard time thinking clearly, kind of in a daize..

    Yea, on days I slept like shit the night before.. sometimes I work through it and have a good workout... other times, no.

    Yeah, I notice this too. Sometimes you can push through and by the end you realize you had a solid workout still. Other times, it feels like your entire time in the gym was a waste.

    Sounds to me that the OP might just need a break. Sometimes when I go hard for like 8 weeks, my body just starts to get beat up. Its one thing to feel tired after a workout but you can tell when your body is just completely exhausted. My suggestion is to skip your next 2 or 3 workouts. Do cardio or something, but don't lift weights. When you get back, your body will be refreshed and you can continue where you left off.

    Went back to the gym today. Regained all my strength :o. But I backed off from getting too aggressive, and did some cardio and ab work instead. Will hit the gym back 101% intense from tomorrow onward. :o

    My back day this week was like that. I was in a rush to get it all done before work, and I was tired from not sleeping well. That lead to a shitty lift, but I did manage to finish it.
