I started weightlifting to improve my appearance and I've done that to a certain extent (not where I want to be yet). When I first started working out, lifting weights was a means to an end. I recently realized when my friend called going to the gym a "chore" that I actually enjoy lifting weights now. It's not longer a means to an ends for me, but rather something I enjoy and actually look forward to doing. Before I used to just look forward to the day that I looked the way I want, but now I'm really enjoying the process/journey (as cheesy as that sounds).
