I started weightlifting to improve my appearance and I've done that to a certain extent (not where I want to be yet). When I first started working out, lifting weights was a means to an end. I recently realized when my friend called going to the gym a "chore" that I actually enjoy lifting weights now.

It's not longer a means to an ends for me, but rather something I enjoy and actually look forward to doing. Before I used to just look forward to the day that I looked the way I want, but now I'm really enjoying the process/journey (as cheesy as that sounds).

I get the same way...I missed 3 straight days because I had a lot of things to take care of (plus, I needed a little break to let a tendon flare-up heal) and I felt horrible the whole time.

it gets hard to stay motivated with a proper diet/training schedule at times when I'm busy with college stuff. But I don't see myself quitting anytime soon.

I love the way it makes me feel, I love the results, but I don't love trying to get in the gym when I haven't had enough to eat or enough sleep.

I really enjoy it, the end product is nice, the endorphine high is nice too. However the best of it all is the opportunity to tune out for 90 minutes every day. I can walk into that gym and focus on something I have total control. I don't have to worry about unforseen circumstances, anyone inhibiting my success or outperforming me, or anything getting in the way. It's the best form of therapy, and its just about free.

The greatest feeling you can get in a gym, or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is... The Pump. Let's say you train your biceps. Blood is rushing into your muscles and that's what we call The Pump. You muscles get a really tight feeling, like your skin is going to explode any minute, and it's really tight - it's like somebody blowing air into it, into your muscle. It just blows up, and it feels really different. It feels fantastic. It's as satisfying to me as, uh, coming is, you know? As, ah, having sex with a woman and coming. And so can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like, uh, getting the feeling of coming in a gym, I'm getting the feeling of coming at home, I'm getting the feeling of coming backstage when I pump up, when I pose in front of 5,000 people, I get the same feeling, so I am coming day and night. I mean, it's terrific. Right? So you know, I am in heaven.

Depends on what day it is. I kinda dislike legs and bicep days, but everything else is quite enjoyable.

I agree with the therapy statement, its great. For me, lifting weights and playing golf are my forms of therapy, and when I have an injury or something that prevents me from doing either of those...I tend to get depressed and stuff.
