Say, walking talking on cell phone? Bluetooth in ear. No cover while walking from store to car. Headphones in ears. Etc...? Curious to the answers.

only if i'm close by and i usually don't make a scene out of it. someone will correct them along the road if i don't, so i figure it may as well be me.

Nah, this is the new Army. Soldiers are allowed to do whatever they want. Why would I say something and possibly hurt someone's feelings?

I actually did not know that was policy. Then again I'm in rotc so I don't know anything. I just thought that the captain that yelled at me for talking on the cell and walking was because he just wanted to.

I am on an ARMY TRADOC post and the only corrections I do are calling privates out when they stare me down from 50 meters away and then not salute as they walk by.

I never thought I would turn into that type of officer that cares about the salute being rendered but when the disrespect is so blatant, i have to say something

everything else, I just let it go, there are always extenuating circumstances and I have been guilty of some things until I learned about them (bluetooth being wrong outside of the car, hands in pockets in winter pts :o, patrol cap being allowed outside of the field and motorpool, etc etc moisture wicking t-shirts)...i just leave it to the NCOs for the most part to keep me and everyone else straight on the changes of acceptable wear...

when did they bring back the stress card? (i know i quoted the wrong person)

i remember they phased them out right as I entered basic training back in 2005. I asked the drill sergeants about them and why I wasnt issued one. They had a good laugh and then put me in the front leaning rest for half a day because they had to explain to everyone else what I was talking about/asking for :o

Problem with letting that go, is that every time you let it go, you create a new standard.

These little things are a basic display of discipline.

There are no stress cards. I dispise the Soldiers that get all offended when you correct them. Usually females, try to get an attitude. Sorry, I'm not the one being a shitty soldier, soldier.

i hate to sound sexist, but female soldiers are truly the worst to correct. i ripped into a retarded bitch this morning for yelling "HEY GUY WHAT TIME IS IT?" to me when she was hanging out with her homegirls at the barracks.

maybe it's the "I'm a female, I should be treated differently from males" mentality and they're too used to faggot NCOs constantly vouching for their innocence.

Oh on a TRADOC post its almost impossible to do on the spot corrections to IET soldiers. The only thing you can really do is take down their name and their unit assignment and then report them :greddy: .....like a hall monitor in highschool :hsugh:

The worst part of all is the soldiers are briefed on how they can't be corrected by anyone other than their cadre so they play into it. Also their cadre are usually lumps of shit on a log and lack discipline themselves so the bad soldiering trickles down to the lowest level
