I want knife to carry around, but not a small knife like a pocket knife, more like a 3" blade knife. What do you carry around, and why do you carry it with you?

Had a Flash II, great knife but a bit big for carry and it scared most of my clients :california: so I got a CRKT M16, just as good if not better and much easier to carry IMO. Either are great options but if you have the money I've always heard great things and wanted for myself a benchmade.

I carry the smaller CRKT M-16 for the one handed opening and a swiss army knife for the tools. Are there any swiss army knives with one handed opening? I don't need two knives :hs:

Latley my Benchmade 940 since Its alot handier, opens one hand, and is alot better for self defense. I walk through a bad neighboorhood in St. Louis
Used to carry my Schrade IHEA staglon pocket knife all the time. Like the look of it. Plus I got it on clearance for cheap

I'm going to be looking for a new blade for daily carry for everything from intermediate force to use as a tool for cutting anything from string to and apple or whittling a stick. And one that holds an edge good.

    any recomendations

I normally have 2 full size BM Griptilians on me. 1 combo edge, and one Ritter plain edge. I've become fond of the Griptilian style as you can see. I also have a trainer to work with from Bm.

I've been carrying the same Buck Lite folder since 1991. It's been up the Sears Tower, to Mississippi, to five National Guard annual trainings, and Death Valley. It's also survived several moves, and my five kids (who seem to have pretty much lost or destroyed most of my stuff).

My Ka-Bar gets left at home. It's a wee bit large to carry around.
