It seems everyone at my gym all of a sudden bought one. I've never even thought about it before. What's the point of it?

First few weeks of my training, I wore a t-shirt. Typical t-shirt. I got home and had the worse rashes all over my body. It looked like a bear mauled me. It's the norm at my academy.

    Never worn one.

I also stay in my gi, so I don't need anything under it.

I love that they wick sweat away during nogi (obviously I can't go shirtless) and I sometimes wear one under my gi, usually not though cause they bunch up unless you get quality.

I see a lot of people wearing a rash guard underneath their tees. Do they absorb a lot of sweat or something? I hate it when my shirt gets absolutely soaked and starts grappling with me when I try to take it off.

    Yeah.

    Who makes quality?

i use it because t shirts come off and you never know how clean the damn mat is. Read an article that wearing rash guards greatly improves your chances of not getting staph lol. also u usually roll in beater shirts but you start wearing regular ts down so fast and at the same time they just keep getting in the way
