I eat very very well, and I'm trying to become stronger and get my muscles to become more defined. I DON'T want to start looking like a crazy female body builder though. should i have a protein shake once in a while? or should I just stick with getting my protein from my diet? Never was quite sure on this topic :o

Why do all girls say they don't want to get huge. DONT WORRY you won't get huge and you will never be able too.

Protein shake + carbs after workouts

stick to whole foods other than that

Also we are going to need pics to even start to give you advice.

i tried a bunch of different diets (diets as in my eating habbits, not trying to lose weight) and when i have a bowl of pasta for dinner, i can feel it in the morning. i just feel blah. when i eat cereal, toast, or whatever in the morning, and have a dinner thats not so heavy on the carbs at night i feel better in general :dunno:

    I guess I'm weird

Eating carbs before bed means they're more likely to be stored as fat since your body is not using them for energy.

I try to concentrate the bulk of my carbs around the time I workout for that reason.

It's just common sense. Carbs are your first supply of fuel your body to burn for energy. If you eat tons of carbs right before you go to bed, none of those carbs are going to be burned working out or doing basic daily activities. Since your body's metabolism slows down when you sleep, plus it has all these carbs that it doesn't know what to do with them, it turns them into energy reserves if they're needed. (fat.)

It's like highschool health class stuff...

Then there should be no difficulty in proving this.

It's not common sense since the human body is complex.
