There is currently a NRA lifetime membership discount for $300. Most people who are doing it now are at least requiring a lifetime members ID# to sponsor them, early on they were allowing anyone to just upgrade.

Anyone willing to be a "sponsor"?

    Wirelessly posted via wap.offtopic.com (TELECA-/2.0 (BREW 3.1.5; U; EN-US; SAMSUNG; SPH-M800; Teleca/Q05A/INT) MMP/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

I'm a life member. I called member services and they told me I could only sponsor a family member. :dunno:

I'm going to do it and go in with my cousin. $700 life membership discount, and then sponsor him for $300. He'll repay me half way.

I did it with the $300 rate recently. Just got my membership package with stickers, patch and books. They didn't ask for any sponsor. I'll sponsor but I don't know how.

I'm hoping that is how it will go when I call this week, but I was hoping to have a "sponsor" to fall back on.

I'm not going to bother another person with doing the calling and and paying them back, but if they ask me who referred me when I call, I'd like to be able to say Joe D. Smith, member #12345678910.
