    yea i heard ford can actual build a diesel that doesn't blow up, outside the US.

    it gets something like 24-26 mpg

    not too bad. over here he have some mitsubishi trucks (reqs not as strict as stateside) that get like 50mpg out of small 2/3/4 L diesels. and they abuse them. little diesels in little trucks are the shit.

    They had one in the '80s...Ford used a Mazda Diesel in several models including the Ranger, Tempo, and Escort.

    In '85, it was available with a Mitsu turbodiesel. My bro had an '85 Dodge D50 (Mitsu-built, lol) with that motor, and it pulled pretty good. :cool:

    It didn't sell very well at the time. It'd be nice to have that available now.
