I want to get either a full tower or big mid tower now, something that could hold a lot of internal HDD and be big enough that there would be a lot less clutter inside. But I dont want a front case door, or all this crazy window graphics all over it. I just want a normal grey/black aluminum case with no drive door and a couple of fans. It seems to be hard to find though. :wtc:

I also want a modular PSU so I can reduce clutter even more.

I want to be able to add future HDDs without having to worry about power or clutter.

I know jollyogre wants to smack me in the head for it, but I love Antec.
The Antec Nine Hundred has two hard drive cages that each hold 3 drives
for a total of 6 hard drives with fans installed directly in front of the drive cages for maximum cooling.

Completely ignore antec. They are over-priced generic shit.

The cooler master CMStacker is exactly what you want. All fans are 120mm, so they move lots of air, don't use a lot of power, and are very quiet. You can install additional 4-in-3 modules for a total of 16 3.5" hard drives fully lined with 120mm fans. Or you can install 12 3.5" drives fully lined with 120mm fans and have a usb/audio front control and 2 DVD-RW drives. For what you want, this is the best case.

Here's a picture of my dirty one:

I just bought an Antec 900 and I love it, I'm going to go buy another fan to install in the side of the case probably sometime today to make a total of five case fans, this thing sure makes a difference in my system temps. Plus there's a ton more room inside than what I used to have. I just need to work on my cable management now..

I would have gotten one of those, but I don't like the 4in3 drive cages.
There's practically no air space in between the drives that way.

The Antec cages have quite a bit more space in there.

The Antec NSK6500 has a 5 drive cage. The drives are mounted on silicone grommets on individually removable trays.

how much do you want to spend? There are lots of Lian Li's which do not have a window or a door.

Anyone reccomend a good modular PSU that could handle up to 6 HDD, 2 DVD/RW/R/etc., one 7900GT, a slew of case fans, and 10 USB ports no problem?

just buy a PCP&C unit. Fuck modular. You've got so much room in there that you could stage a tennis match, and neatly zip tie the extra cables off to the side. (that CM Stacker fits *TWO* full-size ATX PSUs, btw :coold:

    If you can't do a PCP&C Seasonic / Fortron / Sparkle / Enermax.

    Avoid Antec. They're a best-buy / circuit-city brand and there's a reason.... Recognizable-name by the comp-n00b, cheap quality, and high margins.

Are you nuts? How much crap are you actually going to put in this case? The thing's got room for 4 DVD drives and 5 hard drives.

I want something that I can add as much stuff to without having to worry about room or clutter inside. I have the space in my house for it so why not? A good case like this will last me years. :dunno:

for an expandability, mainteance, cooling, and pretty much every other standpoint, a nice ATX tower cannot be beat.
