Do they make mp3 players for component systems?

OK, I'll preface by saying I have a portable mp3 player, and I know I can do stuff like attach an FM transmitter, and that's not what I'm looking for.

Googling has been pretty unsuccessful so far so I thought I'd just outright ask - considering how popular mp3 is getting as opposed to actual CDs, are component makers starting to make component mp3 players to hook into the rack?
I'm thinking what would be pefect in my case is something like a player that would allow me to just plug in a memory card or USB drive, and then play it directly into the receiver rather than having to mess around with trying to send it through the air first.
    Does such a thing exist?

all you need is a mini -> RCA cable and hook it into one of the inputs in the back of a reciever. It is quite easy

There are a few receivers out there that have a USB input as well, Outlaw Audio makes one.
