Do not buy computer products from this company:

    www.acortech.com

I found them on www.pricewatch.com , and ordered a steering wheel with pedals for my PC. They advertised new. Came in heavily used, ripped box, and no software. Sent email a week ago, no response. Called today, mailbox had no more room. Filing with BBB in two days. Just a friendly warning. Do some research on the company, before you buy.

Do some investigative research on the domain.. you may be able to track them down in other ways.

It's a 25-year old guy working out of his house... The company was just formed in August. If you need the info, let me know.

You can do that over a steering wheel that probably cost less than $100? :eek3:

Yep. People sue all the time for ~$5. This is a reasonable lawsuit. As long as you have paperwork documenting the transaction and maybe a description of the item being listed as "new", then you're good to go.

If anything, you could call your credit card company and dispute the transaction..Tell them that you purchased this product valued at ~$100 and it came damaged. Once you found out it was damaged, you attempted over 10 times to get ahold of this gentleman via email and phone, and get no response.

I've done that before, and it worked.

Contact someone at pricewatch.com about it too, maybe they will take them out of their watch list.

There is a site for this sort of thing, I just can't think of it off hand. It just list all sorts of different online stores with user's ratings and reviews

Umm... I just bought a video card off them about a month ago, but I went through Ebay and his Ebay store. It was a Buy it now auction and I e-mailed him twice in the morning asking questions about the item and he replied to both pretty fast. I sent him payment the same day and received a reply the next day that it would ship. I got the item a few days later looking perfect.

Everything was good for me... Sorry to hear about your troubles.
As of now, from my experience, I'd buy again from them.

    CM.
