i'd get it if it were 5 speed. if it's auto, i'd go shopping around more. at least some 97 and 98 preludes had a recall with the ignition system, i would check to see if that prelude has been serviced for that recall. could save your life. :big grin: some people have had their auto trannys break down on them prematurely. honda makes some of the best manual gearboxes/trannies around, but their autos are shit IMO.

Any other pros/cons of ownership for this entire last generation (97-01)? I myself would never buy an automatic car anyways so that would def. be outta the question. Ive heard people who praise the ATTS system found on the SH and those who say theyre glad they dont have it. What are the thoughts on that? I know it sounds dumb but what kinds of differences will I feel from my G2 Integra?

for people keeping their car relatively stock with minor mods, they'l appreciate ATTS more. but when you put a lot of power to it it tends to get in the way. or if you lower it too much it could potentially cause some headaches you could avoid by not buying the SH. otherwise it's a really "neat" gizmo. really does give the fwd car more rwd-like handling characteristics. not quite as good but close enough. i had the SH and loved how it cornered.

seems kinda pricey, no? I mean for a car that's 7 years old.

I have a 97 and i love it. I've put 90K+ on. No major issues at all. I do have to replace the clutch slave cylinder. All of a $20 replacement part!

I would hold out for a manual! You will be MUCH happier. Any questions PM me.

It's a Honda...they don't depreciate like Nissans. ~8k is actually reasonable for relatively low miles.

Hold out for the 5spd if you can...the auto isn't very much fun or all that durable for that matter.

The automatics have had problems since day one. Umm, they require premium gas...other than that no.
