    Just wondering..

i know all of you guys drink them for protein to help build muscles because you lift heavy...

but as a female who just runs and lifts 10 pound weights so stay toned..

do i really need to be drinking protein shakes?

    thanks in advance!

The Protein helps you to sustain muscle, muscle burns calories.

    Fat does not burn calories.

lift higher amount's, once you have the amount of muscle you wan't, just eat at maintnence. To "tone up" you have to lose body fat.

but i doubt you weigh that much so you should be getting enough protein from your normal diet, as people mentioned...if you don't though, you might as well go for it, you won't die

My girlfriend plays basketball and runs doesnt really lift but drinks whey protein. She drinks it cuz it tastes good she says. :)

My sister drinks it with her coffee(vanilla flavor).:hsugh:

Yeah if you not getting enough protein from other things in your diet you should still drink them.
