    My current carry rotation includes:
    Smith 642
    Sig P220
    Steyr M40
    Glock Model 30.

I reload .45 so practice is cheap. I'm not completely sold on 9mm. I don't really see a place for it I've had thoughts.

If you shoot enough even reloaded 9mm will be cheaper than reloaded .45. If you're happy with your guns and the ammo isn't killing you I don't see a reason to add another caliber. In fact I'd probably be putting that steyr on the chopping block :big grin: I'm personally doing better with fewer guns.

When SHTF, you'll be glad you have guns of all calibers so you can shoot whatever ammo you find/ trade for.

How is this even a question? Everyone needs a G19.

    Meh.

    I don't own Glocks because I like them, I own them because they're functional. I've got a 36 and a 23; I can't justify another. I want another 9mm, but it ain't gonna be a Glock.

The only reason I would buy one if I were in your position would be for cheaper practice, but a $500 gun kind of negates any money you'd save on ammo. Especially if you're already reloading.

Asking if you need a G19 is like asking if fish need water.

Glocks have got to be the ugliest guns on the planet. But, they ALWAYS go boom.

That's my outlook on it. Most people seem to try and standardize on one caliber for rifle and pistol but I think it's good to have something in every caliber for just this reason.
