I swore I posted this before I left...

But this is not for new stuff, more like older stuff. Do they negotiate? I've never tried it.

depends, if i was to tell him to find me something then you'd think we'd work on a price.

but those days are over now, thanks to the glorious website known to many as eBay

the best they'll do is 10%, thats what they give to most subs. but if you want cheaper just buy online.

One of the comic stores I used to visit (not very often) would negoiate with me. He knew he was fucking over people (would charge double for issues that were only a couple issues back). He usually would take off a buck or so or if we was nice he would give me cover price. The place I go now will charge obnoxious amounts for hot comics (ie Planet Hulk and Wolv v Hulk). I had both on my list, but said it was OOS. Next week he had a couple of each goin for the low price of $15 each. Unfortunately for me, it is the closest to me by a good 10-20miles.

have you thought about getting them direct, or going through an online comic store.

I think eBay is a better place to look for these things...Hell, even Half.com has a lot of TPBs
