I'm thinking about dumping my Glock 19 because I can't afford the 9mm ammo any more. I can't practice with ammo what it is now.

7.62x25 is CHEAP. I would practice with that ammo, no question about it. It would be no more than $50 a month to practice. I'd spend a couple extra dollars in hearing protection, but I'd shoot every other weekend.

Wow, what a world we live in when 9mm is both unobtainable and too expensive when it is obtainable. FUUUUUUUUUUUU

I'd rock a TT-33 as a CCW. Of course, I'd want to get ahold of some non-corrosive softpoints or hollowpoints (SPs seemed like a decent thought given the small size and high speed of the round) as actual defensive ammo though.
Especially if I have to use it. The evidence lockers around here always seem to be pretty humid, and I wouldn't want my piece rusting while it's stored.

No, I'll only carry guns that have quality defensive ammo available for them.

Carry a gun and practice with it.

That said, a vintage Tokarev wouldn't be anywhere in the matrix of guns I would voluntarily carry.

Rolling your own 7,62 seems like a must if you're going to carry it. I'd carry it for wildlife.. four legged predators, rather than two, that is.

    Wouldn't be a gun I'd carry.

You'd probably have a hard time finding a quality holster for it to. I guess you could have one made by Sparks or some place similar, but the holster cost as much as the gun. I doubt they'd have the molds for it either, you'd probably have to send them the pistol.
