He's trying to hint at the fact that Nudes has IBS now because he took acutane and that has been shown to cause IBS. Whether he actually has it or not is unknown but unlikely.

I'll be here until 5 to translate.

I have UC, at times it has caused some major setbacks, but for the most part its pretty managable.

I'm 25 and have had crohn's for 11 years. The last 18-24 months i've been healthy and put on almost 20kgs (lots of fat included) thanks to the drug infliximab. The 9 years before that I had no chance, the disease was poorly managed and I was only well for 6 months before I'd have another flare up.

The disease, particularly crohn's, can be so varied between sufferers. If you are able to manage the disease well you should have few problems in the gym. If you can't manage the disease, completing a gym program will be night on impossible :(

Sorry to hear about those of you suffering with this stuff.

Hope things pick up and you can get on the right track with your health.

The only thing I can contribute to this thread is that if you have any type of digestive issues, stay away from any pre-workout supplement containing magnesium.

I've heard lots on advertisements about how good they are for your digestive health and all that, but none of my doctors, including my Gastro and pharmacists have even mentioned it, sometimes I think it might just be snake oil.

I have GERD, sometimes on long runs or heavy lifts I get heavy acid reflux, plus it sucks, the majority of my meals after I eat I am puking up back into my mouth.... I have been taking a lot of malox to ease the burn at night

I know for a fact it helped me, and I had really bad constipation and stomach issues for 4 months and I no longer have it. Without being too disgusting, when I go to the bathroom now I don't have to use very much toilet paper. :o

I used a product called BD Lactinex and purchased it from the pharmacist at Target.

Probably due to the fact that you go on "alcohol" diets. Alcohol and coffee (two things you talk about consuming constantly) are absolutely horrid for GERD sufferers.

I had mild GERD and cutting back on both of those helped greatly.

My dad had severe cases of it and the doc gave him a script for it and he's 100% fine now. I would look into that.

a script that he has to take for live.. only way to fix it is via surgery.

i laid of the alcohol diet, it started before that, i would attribute it more to i started going crazy on spicy foods/sauces, which items in a jar would usually have acid purposely added to it...

Whatever works for you man, thats what I always say. The odd time that I've been really bad (haven't done this in a few years) I would actually drink a lot of beer, at least 6-8, and though I felt hungover, my bowels would improve, I think it just relaxed me.

    Everyone is different.

So what man. It's one pill you take everyday.

Most of us take 10 pills a day anyway between our Multi's, fish oil, GTE, etc.... etc....

If I was throwing up food in the back of my throat and getting that horrid annoying burn of acid reflux regularly I would GLADLY pop a pill everyday to fix it.

    That's just me though.

And fyi, my dad still takes it everyday because he eats like shit (fried chicken, pizza, hot wing, potato chips, etc...) just about everyday. So he NEEDS the pill probably until the day he dies.
I have known a handful of people who have gotten on scripts for GERD and after a year of taking it and cleaning up their diet they can go with out the pill everyday and only use it as needed.

these people who go on the bland diet... come off the pill, have you heard any of them going back to the old foods they ate without problem or is it a diet for life thing..
