I'll have my Powerbook early next week, so I'm downloading some programs now. I have a couple programs in .DMG and .CDR extensions. Is there any way I can burn these on an XP machine? It would be nice to have these on discs by the time my PB gets here.

    No.

A .DMG file is a mac disk image. I don't have a clue to what a .CDR file is.

You can put the images as they are now onto the disc. But when you run them it's going to mount the image on the mac.

When it does that, copy it to your desktop, close the image, eject the CD and put in a blank to burn what you just copied onto it.
