DLP/Plasma/LCD Crew .. Thinking about getting a plasma

    Okay so currently i own:

    42" LCD for my room
    50" DLP for the family room

    parents thinking about getting a flat pantel for their room.. should I go with a plasma just cuase of should i stick with the lcd which i love very much.

    the only thing is they dont want to spend too much .. 1200ish

    Save up and get 1080p, I didn't believe it was worth it... until I watched BluRay.

    Currently the panny is the only plasma I'd be likely to buy if I can't afford to get an Elite.

    i always see artifacts on panasonics during high movement, ftmfl

    had to go with Pioneer, plus Panasonics silver case looks like shit

    i've heard plasma's cannot be laid on their side because it messes up the gases inside. Anyone heard of this? Laying it on its side is only way it'll fit in my car.

    1080p is not worth the extra money.

    it's true, but it's not "gases", it's glass...... lay it on its back/front and hit a bad bump and there's a chance it'll fuck it up

    yeah, I'm not a fan of the panny's case. I've never seen the artifacts you speak of, but I've never looked at one side by side with a pioneer so :dunno:

    I'm willing to bet the mfgs package them well enough to endure the ride home from your local electronics B&M if they can survive UPS or any other method of shipment across an ocean and into this country.
