Currently I've got a linux box acting as a DHCP server configured with a mail/web/ftp server. Recently I just purchased a Dlink DI-624 "wireless G Router" and set it up to allow internet access to my wireless notebook. The problem which I've run into now is that I now have 2 DHCP servers. The original linux box and the wireless router. Is it possible to setup this dlink router so that it acts as an access point instead of a router, as at the moment it is not possible to access other computers on the network.

    Thanks

I've got a Linksys one (B version). I disabled DHCP on the Linksys because my Linux box provides DHCP. Even with DHCP disabled on the WAP, its still smart enough to forward the DHCP request onto the wired network which my Linux box then responds to. Have you tried disabling DHCP on your WAP and see if your Linux box will get the request?
