i'm on the Modified 5x5 posted and find myself enjoying Romanian DL's more than regular, would this be acceptable in what the regimen is designed for?

DL != RDL, they aren't equivalent exercises.

edit: If you really want to RDL's are similar to GM's but not to DL's as previously stated.

RDL's are easier cause you dont have to reset each time

not necessarily, it depends on your build and your individual weaknesses

If someone can RDL more than they can deadlift, then :ugh: Their RDL form is probably horrid.

LancerV said they were harder, I personally find RDL's to be easier at a set weight then DL's. For example, RDL's with 315 is easy as shit for me compared to full DL's because I'm not quite flexible enough as I should be so going down to the floor and resetting each rep is a bitch. I never said I could RDL more then I could DL.

So in my case my weakness is my lack of flexibility thus RDL's are easier for me to perform then DL's BUT I am almost certain I can DL more then I can RDL but then again who the fuck maxes out on RDL's.

well in the deadlift when you are pulling off the floor with no elastic energy in your muscles, RDL's will seem easier, esp cause you are moving the weight over a shorter distance, they do for me
