I'm going to be making my own interconnects, and I'm wondering what gauge of wire is the standard for this kind of application? Or can I use any gauge wire I want?

    HUH?

are you making lowlevel (rca) or high level (speaker) cables?

Belden supposedly makes some nice, shielded, twisted pair 2 conductor cable that should work well for interconnects that are low level...

This guy can hear the difference between cables too, so you might want to email him and ask for specifics.

    Link?

The project I might try is this one: http://www.laventure.net/tourist/cables.htm

This one uses pure silver wire from Hoover & Strong. Kind of an expensive venture ... I've heard silver as sounding "bright" from some folks, but I want to find out for myself.
