I just finished putting my new comp together. I got everything good to go. But my resolution looks like shit. My monitor 19" widescreen, so 1440x900 works on it. I have that on now and it's doing the scroll thing where some of the screen is hidden. Any suggestions? :dunno:

Are you positive the resolution "took" when you set it?

Double check to make sure. 1440x900 should show a full page and then some.

Did you install the proper video driver?

Yea it shows everything, just kinda of fuzzy, and like a little bit of the screen is stretched out so it scrolls to it when I move my mouse there. I'll double check on the driver's. Pretty sure they are the right ones.

Oh, it sounds like you just need to make normal adjustments.

LCD's don't work as well out of the box as crt's did.

Does your monitor come with a display utility?

One of my monitors is a 22" Samsung and the utility that came with it works perfectly.

Or what about your video card?

The nVidia driver has a ton of adjustments you can make.

Move the screen around until it's centered, tone down the brightness,
    do a color balance...

In your display properties, go into the appearance tab > advanced > select "Clear type".

I had done that before I made the thread. It's ok, I got it now. I installed the newest drivers before, so I found the previous drivers and Bam! perfect, crystal clear. Thx.
