ok hopefully someone can help me, or maybe I'm just s.o.l. so I bought a dvi to hdmi cable so i could plug my mac book up to my tv so i could just use that as a separate monitor. the only problem is that when I plug it up, the only preferences for sizing suck. there's a real big number (like 1920xsomething) with interlacing, but all the words are too small or blurry (the background looks fine, when I watch a movie it looks fine also) but text just doesn't look the same and pictures aren't quite awesome either. if I go up in screen resolution, the color goes wacked out (like real dark with just blue and what not) and I can't see anything. so I don't know what to do. am I just screwed? :noes: thanks

What TV is it? do you know its native resolution?

1024*768 is a safe bet, albeit not wide., does that work?
