I dislocated my toe in BJJ on Tuesday. That shit was LOUD. Someone popped it back into place for me and I went home and iced it.

Last night my toe is black and blue, and feels like it isn't right... almost "twisted" like it wasn't reset right. Apparently my insurance doesn't cover Emergency Room visits until after a $500 deductible ( :ugh: ), so I didn't go.

Should I go see the doctor today?

Just got back... broken toe (small/pinky toe).

6-8 weeks to heal. Doc said I shouldn't do MT or BJJ, but I haven't really decided yet. I didn't even injure it in sparring, it was in drills... so I'm warry of any grappling. I'm thinking I might be able to do some pad work in MT if I tape it up well.

You should be fine. Just make sure to tape it up really well and/or wear some wrestling shoes.

I hope a vein isn't being pinched because it was put back into place wrong, if so, you will lose your toe. It is always a good idea to have a doctor put check it out.

I would just be careful and give it 6 weeks before doing anything. Stick to conditioning and working out for now (obviously running will be problematic... maybe ride a bike if you have one) I'd say at least 6 weeks.
