I was talking with a friend about this today... It's the end of the rx7, mazda won't make another one. Why you ask? Well here is my argument. Mk3 supra turbo, RX-7 turbo2, skyline r32 - Similar power levels and performance MKIV supra, FD RX-7, Skyline r34 - Similar power and performance New skyline GT-R, almost 500hp. - Problem? Yes because the supra will probably end up with similar power, as usual, and where would that leave mazda? Can they make a streetable 500hp rotary? I don't think they can or will. And that's why I think there won't be another RX-7. I know there are a lot of factors and variables involved, but what do you guys think about the future of the rotary as a performance engine?
