Indiana changed their laws to adopt Daylight Saving Time. It was cool not having to change clocks twice a year, but those days are over.

Apple included a patch in the 10.4.5 update to OS X which makes this change seamless. Sure enough, my iMac G5 running Tiger correctly says 3:39.

My Powerbook G4 running Panther unfortunately thinks it is 2:39. That's right, Apple did not patch OS X 10.3 and before.

I understand not patching OS9 and other systems which have ended their life cycle, but Panther? I'm a little miffed on this one.

I fixed the problem by stating that my closest city is Philadelphia and not Indianapolis, which is false but it works.

And yes Skoles, Apple has demonstrated their assumption of responsibility for keeping up-to-date (no pun intended) by including the patch for Tiger. I am disappointed that they did not also patch Panther, as well. What kind of excuse do you want to make for that?

:jerkit: something so miniscule was almost certainly overlooked by accident

So you think they are getting sloppy, then?

I think I would prefer if it was overlooked on purpose.

I'm sure I'll think of some. And I'll be sure to file them in the same area I keep my list of excuses on why MS patches the holes for IE in XP but not 2k even tho it's just as widely used and is the same browser.
