When ever I am going through my pictures, and I am deleting the ones I don’t want, I usually press “ctrl”, then left click the numerous photos I want to delete. When I am done, I right click and press delete. Problem is, about every 10 seconds or so, Windows automatically makes a copy of the high lighted photos and keeps them in the same folder. Any idea on how to disable the auto copy function? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

it does that because you aren't clicking on the pics, you are dragging one. it will make a copy of the selected items if you drag it slightly.

either steady your hand or use the arrow keys with the ctrl key and select the files to delete with space, then use del to delete

It's not an auto-copy. You're moving the mouse while the button is depressed. Ctrl-drag = copy.

The solution is to work on keeping the mouse still while you're clicking.
