I am playing Dirt on the PC (Steam purchase) and enjoying the hell out of it.

There is no manual for the game up on steam. Hasn't been a problem so far. But I am stumped as to how the game is scoring the point-to-point races.

Recently I came in first place in a race where I lost the 1st 3 stages and won the last.

    Can anyone explain this?

    Thanks.

the point to point is the whole stretch.. each bar is just a checkpoint to let you know your split time against the competition

yea, your placement is based on your overall time over the whole stage.
