So I have installed a released version of Vista Buisness on my computer, and have a ATI X800 256MB PCI Express Video Card. When I check out the amount of memory it has through DirectX it gives me a memory amount of 319MB, and I know there isn't any shared memory on the system. It also does this with an Radeon Express X200 Video card on another computer. Has anyone herd of this, and why it does this?

    I'm afraid not...

Does it affect the performance in anyway? Slower? Same? Faster?

    If it's same/faster I guess you shouldn't worry about it.\

It could be slow because the OS itself is bulky.
