Ok. I want to get DirecTv and I guess that I have a couple of options I will be wanting a 4-room system, but one of those is an HDTV. Now, I have looked on-line and seen that alot of websites sell the equipment. I'm guessing that if you purchased the equipment through one of those sites, you would just have to pay for the service as opposed to renting the equipment and paying for the service? Now, my question was what does everyone suggest I do? Also any websites that you could reccomend to purchase the equipment would be great. Thanks in advance.

DirecTv has a deal on their site where they'll give you a 3 system setup (HD available) if you'll get a year's contract.

You could use that and buy another yourself for the last one.

You never rent the equipment from DirecTV, they don't do rentals, so once you have it, it's yours. BTW, if you want HD, you'll need a different dish an HD receiver. Not worth it at the moment in my opinion, cuz there's only like 5 channels on DirecTV (if that many) that support HD.
