    Dino Days

    Weighed in at 258 yesterday

6th place, or last if you want to be a dick. Missed 5th by a point.

This was my first SM contest

The storms we had the past couple days made the park into a pond so some of the event changed.

    Max Log Press 8"
warm ups 175 went up smooth, jumped in at 195 cleaned it, but couldnt press it for the life of me, got about half way and tris couldnt lock it out. Winner of my class ended it with 295.

    Max 18" Deadlift
I missed 500 in the gym so I figured 550 would be reasonable, 400 cake, 450 just as easy, 500 now im thinking big, 550 threw on the straps easy as pie, 600 just as easy, 650 was a grinder but i got it, also ripped a callous of my hand, didnt think I had 700 in the tank, my group told me to forget 700 as not to screw with my hand any more. Winner took 750, must be nice to have a DL suit. There was also a 200 lb 19 year old who ripped 650, ended up winning open 200.

    Axel Clean and Press
225lbs and 3 or 3.5 in diameter, this was my first time touching an axle, I initially had trouble getting it up, but once it was up I couldnt get my hands around to press it.

    Yoke
Initially was supposed to be 600 for 50' but since we were indoors it was supposed to be 785 for 25' but the line up got screwed up and we did 685, got about 6.5' which it worlds better than the 600 I did for 3 steps, two weeks ago.

    Farmers
Was supposed to be 240 for 50' but ended up being 280 for 50', got about 24 feet, grip kept going out.

    Tire flip
6XXlb tire 6 total flips, did it in about 27s, group winner was low 19s. Only worked with a tire once, and it was light enough I didnt have to use my knee, this one I should have but just used brute force to flip it.

    H-Stone
330 for 25' off a keg, tough but got it done
220 for 25' had trouble getting it up in my chest, but once it got there easy
192 for 17', by this time I was gassed and just couldnt do much with it.

All in all, had a blast, I defiantly need to step my game up if I want to compete with the big boys

Those events must drain SM. There is no way in hell I could do big weight like that over and over throughout a day.

Ill stick to my 9 attempts. Big props to you dude!
