    Are you an ossifer?

If not, then you will probably not participate in the grog.
If you are, then you probably will not participate in the grog unless you are O4 and up.

Mostly the higer ups get drunk and act stupid, not embarassingly stupid, but it is still funny.

It is a pretty good time, a lot of people making fun of one another, quite eloquently.
If your idea of fun is to sit around and drink beer, then you should go if you have never been.
It may not appeal to everyone, but find out for yourself if it appeals to you.

Last one I went to, had a three star, a two star, and a one star low crawling, duckwalking, and then riding a tricycle to get to the grog, in which they have to abide by the rules of the grog.

This was also a combat dining in.

Here is a picture of a buddy about to ride the trike.
It was his birthday, so he was sent to the grog.

This one was a combat dining in. Most regular dining in or dining outs are formal dress.

    nope

I have been to a combat dining in, it was fun and extremely messy
I understand the concept of the dining in/out and this is a formal one not the combat dining in type just not really sure I guess what the differences/similarities are to the two

How does the grog play into the events since everyone is dressed up?

not sure if I can bring a date or not, probably but if it would be worth the extra $$ I would do it.

    thanks for the answers guys

The grog rules are the same, without the obstacle course.
