I just got a Motorola DCT-6412 DVR and it's got a USb port on the front of it. Can use that port to transfer my recordings to my computer? If so do i need anything other then a USB cable?

Thanks, i tried motorola's site but it didnt answer my question.

No, you can not do that (yet.) More than likely, that little usb port will be used for showing digital pictures off of a USB key or a digtital camera cable. The files (most of them) are copy protected and will not play on any other hardware. You can, however, use the firewire ports on the 6412 to record video to your computer (that isnt a pre-recorded program or an analog channel)
