A&P Digital Photo - Photoshop Question...

    I am just getting started with Digital Photo's and was looking for tutorials/explanations on manipulating them in PS (making them look better).

    I don't mean filters, just making the images look better. (Contrast, Sharpness, Color Correction, etc.)

    It is a Canon A85 if that matters...

    I am well aware of Google and Photoshop Tutorials. However, after sifting through hundreds of irrelevant pages/information, I decided to post here. I was not looking for a simple tutorial that basically did everything for me, I was actually looking for in-depth information to learn about what I was doing and why. Not simply, "adjust this and go to Step #2." :hs:

    buy a book on photoshop....take a class its a huuuuuge powerfull program takes patience and effort to learn it. You cant just expect to read a few tutorials and be a master at it

    Just remember your JPGs from that camera are already pretty heavily "processed" don't get too crazy with contrast/saturation/shadows/USM or you'll get really unnatural pictures...

    I am already pretty proficient in the design aspect of Photoshop, just not the post-processing portion of digital photography using Photoshop. :hs:

    That is what I have been noticing. Make barely too much change and it really throws the picture off.
