double exposure - exposing the same frame twice

i'm assuming by digital double exposure, he either had a really cool camera with built in half and halfing, or did like i do when i need to double expose on my slr... you get a filter that can slide back and forth and take one side, then the other... the thing with that is on an SLR it'll throw off your metering

what's fun is digitally making it a double... one of my films, i did it waaaaaaay too much... (you know how it is, get a new toy, play with it alot and often) you just pop the cam on a tripod, and film things... trying to keep your movements restricted to an imaginary line... then you composite the video and crop it in half... looks cool!

i didnt have a tripod so i used a chair and just took two diff. pictures and photshopped them together. you have to make each picture 50% opacity to get them both to show up and it makes it so she is only half there. you can see through her. it is a pretty cool effect. i did that by taking the two picture and taking the left half and right half and putting them together. so then she was solid. i think it turned out pretty good.

o ya i have a coolpix 800. not the best but it is fun to learn on

  11. I thought thats how you did it.
