Would it be possible to use my digital camera as a means to transport MP3s from my work to home computer?

    NO.

Thus far no product on the market has introduced such feature.

Are you thinking about MP3 player used as a harddrive maybe?

Hell yeah I do this all the time - if your camera hooks up via USB it should show up as a "removable drive" on your computer... drag and drop whatever files you want into and out of this drive, use your camera for file transport. Works great.
