Seems like it may be shady, who knows if it'll work but I'd say that it would be worth $40 for me to find out, however it would NOT be worth having my CC 'stolen'. No numbers on the site or anything, I did a whois and its out of Canada-- :ugh:

    Thoughts?

40 bones.. I highly doubt it's legit.. closer to 100-200 I'd believe it.

Only if you want to get royally :Owned:

When the cable company notices your box isn't responding they are going to ZAP IT. When you take that filter off to reset it, all of the payper view movies you watched are going to be sent in and you will get a bigass bill which you will have to pay.

You can get the same thing on ebay for like 6 bucks, which works in the same shitty way. Don't waste your money.

Those things work by you buying a PPV on the box and then the filter blocks the signal the box sends to the cable company. The box knows you bought it and turns on the channel, but the cable co doesn't know to bill you. Sounds great right... WRONG!!!

Here's the problem. If you leave the filter in, then cable co realizes the box is being filtered and shuts it off. If you remove the filter, the cable boxes cache all the commands so it just dumps a week worth of PPV's and you get a huge bill anyway...

If all that stuff is stored in the cache of the box... couldn't you clear that cache somehow. Unplug it maybe? Hell.. go crazy, shock the damn thing. Say it was a power surge or something?
