    didnt put too much thought into these pics...still getting used to focusing without a focus aid...and the metering seems slightly different...overall im pretty pleased given the price i paid

    call me dumb, but besides the fact that its a zeiss lens, what lens is it?

    Carl Zeiss Flektogon 35mm prime, f/2.4

    I don't know too much about Zeiss lens so just google it for more :p

    yes, its a m42 mount so if you want one you'll need a eos/m42 adapter (its 15 bucks, and will work with the new zeiss ZS mount lenses they announced later last year). it is fully manual aperture and focus (focus is hard without a focus screen). this and other m42 zeiss lenses can be found very cheap on ebay.

    Did you PP the macros? because the mirror shot seems to have an extreme lack of contrast / colour.

    It's a 35mm prime, f/2.4 is good. Most others less expensive you'll see with f/2.8 or f/4.0, which is 1/2 - 1 1/2 full stops slower.

    right now im on a last lens binge ... cuz i shoot some concerts and stuff so that is a key fact .. i <3 my 50mm f/1.8

    no pp on any of them (unless you count cropping, oh and i flipped the last pic), its just overexposed...
