    ie. major heartburn

    anybody have it?

i have it where it even affects my breathing meaning i can't catch my breath or hit the "peak" of a deep breath or yawn. i've been to the doc for it in the past and he gave me asthma meds that didnt do shit for it because i think he didnt realize it was reflux.

it comes and goes. right now it's been sticking around for awhile so i'm off to doc in a few minutes. also gonna ask him to sign me up for a test-level check.

Huh, I have that same problem and I didn't know heartburn could cause it. My doc put me on an inhaler, and it didn't help me, either.

I have it but it's not severe or anything.

I already have asthma as it is, so when my acid reflux gets bad I have a lot of trouble breathing and get constant indigestion.

When my diet is spot on I rarely get it. When I bulk, I get it every time.

Foods I've noticed that trigger it are pizza, mexican, pancakes, cookies, etc.... etc... Anything like orange juice or grapefruit juice = instant pain though.

If I eat well, I can still splurge on stuff like that and be fine... but when I consistently eat trash like that I'll get acid reflux several times a day.
I've noticed the biggest trigger is refined carbs and alcohol.

Never been on anything for it though. As I get older I might need something (my dad had it real bad and is now on 2 meds for it) but as long as I keep my diet decent and take alkaseltzer when it gets springs up I am all good.

    Yeah, that's the worst part.

I never quite figured out how acid reflux affects your breathing.

I've heard tons of good shit about nexium. Are there any sides to it?

My cousin had GERD pretty bad to the point where it was daily because he smoked and drank just about everyday (2 things that cause it).
He got on Nexium for a few months and then stopped. It's been years and still hasn't had a problem from the 3 months use of Nexium.
