After eating like shit for a couple years and then trying to eat better (still not close to a perfect diet/tons o' carbs) I finally want to stick to a well planned, lower carb diet. It would be nice to not be semi fat for once in my life.

Anyway, I like Pur's diet and always thought this would never work, but decided to take a stab at removing the meat sources for non-sources. Yes I know this makes me a total homo for not eating meat, but I haven't eaten meat for the last 20 or so years, and I'm not going to start now.

I need some help with the final touches or any suggestions anyone might have. Here is what I came up with.

    meal 1 7:00AM
    6 eggwhites 2 yolks
3/4 cup oatmeal water or 1% milk
    one scoop whey protein

    meal 2 10:00AM
    half cup cottage cheese
    1/2 cup rice
    light italian dressing(olive oil)

    meal 3 1:00PM
    Fage 2% yogurt
    Two HB eggs
    5oz sweet potato
    1/2 cup green beans
    1 tbsp peanut butter

    meal 4 6:30PM
Boca burger (2) no bun (lettuce instead w/cheese
large dinner salad with red wine vinegar/olive oil

    Gym 8:30PM

    meal 5 9:30PM
    2 scoops whey, 1 gatorade

    meal 6 10:00
    half cup cottage cheese
    1/2 cup rice
    light italian (olive oil)

I tried to keep everything as close macro-wise as I could. Let me know what you guys think or any suggestions that might help. The times aren't 100% accurate at the moment.

Cliffs: I don't eat meat but want something like Pur's diet in the BB thread. The above is what I came up with. Suggestions?

Thanks, but that's not exactly what I meant. Plus, I like the daily plate better for looking up info.

I do and have been for the last couple years, however thedailyplate.com has waaay better search methods.

I know the macros and what not, they are really close to Pur's original, except some dairy sources. I was just curious if anyone had some suggestions on what I could improve or anything was completely out of place.

No fish, in fact I've never had it. :dunno:

More eggs eh. That's already eight a day. How safe are raw eggs? I can't get over the taste of them so they are pretty hard to eat. The AM eggs I was going to do in a blender, but using boxed whites. That might get expensive so I'm thinking just throw raw eggs in there? I could add a hard boiled egg for lunch. Those aren't too bad.

I eat raw eggs all the time and I'm not dead. :dunno:

I'd get tired of eggs pretty quick but since you don't eat meat it's really your only option aside from whey/casien powder, beans/lentils and various dairy products.

A bit off-topic, but why don't you eat meat?

I throw in a couple for lunch too then. Regular eggs will be way cheaper than boxed oness well.

Never really liked it. I can't even eat most fake meat products. If it even resembles meat I get grossed out and can't eat it. Partly animal related as well, cruelty etc.

I can probably count the types of meat I've had in my life on one hand.

1/2 cup cottage cheese is like 14g protein I'd double it at least... can of tuna usually comes out to 30+g protein

Damn. I wasn't sure because there were 2-3 tuna portions and I had no idea what was in a can. Maybe I'll stick with the 1/2 cup cottage cheese and add 1/2 scoop of whey or something. :dunno:

I was thinking about adding one of those cutlets. Only thing is that's my lunch meal and I am kind of limited on what I can cook since it's at work. I like Quorn because it's not soy based. Although some of their stuff kind of tastes weird. :o

This will probably sound pretty gay, but most of the microwaves at my work are so dirty and smell like total ass I'm afraid to use them.

Plus I have a really hard time eating soggy "meat." It was the same when I ate meat, it would have to be almost burnt otherwise I couldn't eat it. I suppose I could microwave it then throw it in the toaster to get it crispy. Or just not be so picky. :hs:
