So for the last 7 months or so I was super careful about my diet (tried as hard as I could to eliminate sugar, soda, junk food, etc). In terms of actual cardio and working out, I didn't really do things much differently than I already was doing (lifting weights regularly, and bjj 2-4x a week). My body fat % really dropped down, and I noticed that I rarely gas out during training anymore. Yesterday, I had a tournament (www.missionsubmission.tv) and won my 149 lbs advanced no gi division. I won by both submission and points and I credit my wins to having better conditioning than my opponents. I was on the offense the whole time, and noticed that they gassed out after 2-4 minutes (out of a 6 minute match). Of course technique also played a huge part, but I think that being able to go hard for the whole time was critical. haha I guess Diego Sanchez/Sean Sherk definitely have the right idea with the strict diets. Oh, and if the videos get posted on youtube I'll update this thread with em.
