Vote now, let's see what the cage thinks.

    I say Koscheck takes it.

I'd say it depends on what gameplan Blanket comes out with. If he's smart, he takes the boring route and lays and prays the whole fight with the occasional GnP. Diego isn't gonna stop Koscheck's take downs. If Koshcheck comes out trying to strike, Diego is gonna win the fight.

I'll say the Blanket puts the first loss on Diego's record.

Very hard to tell , koscheck by strikes , or diego by rear naked choke.

Diego, as much as I find the guy weird and awkward, he has the right mentality and believes in himself 100% and thats a scary thing.

i dislike diego as a person, love him as a fighter, and kosfag i hate evenly in both areas.... however, my vote is not buyest to that, i still think diego will take it...
does anyone see this as a major backstep for diego??
his last 2 fights he beat karo and riggs ( more karo than riggs but still )
if he beats kos -then he did what he was supposed to do, nobody will be suprised
BUT it he looses somehow..... then hes totally fucked...
i dont see that as being very fair to diego.

    better than not fighting :dunno:

also its just another test to see if his record is full of cans or not. If he cant beat Kos theres no way he should be allowed to fight the 1s tier fighters.

Its a shitty fight for diego to have to take. He has nothing to gain and everything to lose. I still say Diego by decision.

I think the reasoning behind this fight is purely based on what happened in their first fight on the TV show. Lots of people(TUF Fans) want to see the rematch because Koscheck is one of the few who have given Diego a run for his money so far. I think the winner of this fight gets the winner of GSP vs Hughes 3(which will be GSP again haha).

That being said, I'd rather see him fighting Fitch. Fitch deserves more air time, he's done nothing but win since he's come to the UFC, 5-0 so far. I'd still like to know the reasoning for Zuffa calling Fitch in the 11th hour and telling him not to get on the plane to go for TUF 1. Fitch has been screwed, he's on a 12 fight win streak and has had only 1 of his 5 UFC fights on air. I think he's right behind Diego when it comes to contender status.

Koscheck will take this fight by Unanimous Deciscion. The first time they fought, Kos was obviously overpowering Sanchez but he couldnt do nothing with it. Kos has highly evolved from his TUF days and he will now do the same thing to Diego but this time beat the crap out of him.

It's not like Diego has been just barely getting by. He took it to Karo and KTFO of Riggs. Both fighters were picked by most to beat him. I say as much as I hate to that Diego will GnP out a TKO or at the very least win by unanimous borecision.

No matter who wins, we lose.

obviously its better than not fighting, i just think his next fight should be againt somebody like hughes... but they wanted hughes to beat lyttle so they could have another PPV extravaganza with hughes gsp 3 ....
and sure he has beaten some cans, and yes karo was taking it to diego until he gassed....i wanted him to win so bad :wtc: im just saying i see it as a step back for him.

Why would the fight with Kos be a step back? You know the winner of the fight will get a title shot right? Kos has also been on a winning streak as of late so I dont really think Kos is another can for Sanchez. Both are impressive fighters IMO

koscheck has not fought or beaten any top 5 WW....
sure he beat and OLD school ufc champ but .....
diego has beaten karo, who i still consider to be top 5 in the WW division....riggs is good too, albeit his wild card status.....
and people talk like koschecks striking has improved- what b/c he tko'd goulet? he was getting tooled on the feet by joslin, and he didnt look very impressive at all - except his takedowns....
yes i would say this is a step back for diego-not a big one, but one nonetheless.

Im going the blanket in an upset I reckon he has the game to take diego down and lie on him for 3 rds. If he doesnt do that Diego will knock him out or choke him.

its less about diegos situation and more about kos proving himself to be at the same level
