of the iphone used as a touchpad pointing device?

    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ybQIcsPtahA

a guy uses it as a touchpad in windows.

when the iphone SDK comes out - would it be possible to make an app that would allow the iphone to be used as a bluetooth pointing device for macs?

and, even better, something you could use a stylus with like a wacom graphics tablet?

i don't know much about the iphone's touch interface, but i have read that the regular mac trackpad tracks your fingers in a very different way than a wacom so its not possible.

its a capacitive sensor, so you'd need something soft and conductive ish. I know I have some ESD safe pliers that have conductive rubber handles, maybe i'll give that a try.

and re the sdk - no one knows for sure what will be allowed yet. the one in the vid works over wifi using the VNC protocol.

i'm not aware of any apps that tap into bluetooth at all....and i have a feeling that apple won't give access.

however, after seeing that vid - it looks like it's more of a question of whether a stylus could work. it would be so badass to be able to have a little multitouch tablet everywhere i go
