did you buy your gear/helmet first, or your bike first? (color of jacket/helmet/bike)

just get a solid black, white, or matte black helmet now so your ready to ride and wait on the jacket if u want a match to the bike. IMO people spend too much time and thought on this part of motorcycling, too many people concerned with how they look... the same guys that end up bailing and on their asses.

I don't really care about matching gear. I've had 4 different bikes in 4 different colors and pretty much the same gear throughout.

i bought my gear before the bike, all black and white, although my next helmet is going to be gold...
i'm not worried about matching gear to the bike, but i'm a neutral color person anyways, so whatever...

that said if it matches cool, if it doesn't who cares...

Bought all my gear on the way to order my first ride. It was a scooter, but since I was ordering it, I knew what color I was getting it in, so I bought red/black gear to match it. Now I'm sold the scooter and bought a cruiser, which is purple, but still have the red/black gear. It works, and it'snot worth the money just for looks. Paint on the bike could use a redo anyways, so maybe I'll change it up eventually.

I always just buy black/white/grey shit. Goes with anything and honestly I always got it cuz I was less likely to be identified by police. How often do you see a guy with a black and white jacket or helmet - pretty often

stay basic with the colors so your 2nd bike will match as well and your 3rd and so on.

pretty much like the above posts say get black etc, it goes with everything

i had red gear from my previous bike and my new bike was blue, so i bought some used plastics that were red and threw them on the bike, much cheaper IMO

I stay with black for all my gear. Not a fan of the bright colours. Makes me think of wrestling outfits and superheros in comics

My gear is ugly and doesn't match... but it was also quite cheap, and protects me quite well.

The reason I went with red wasn't to look cool (duh, it was gear originally bought for riding on my scooter!), but because a brighter color is more visible, and visibility is your friend when you're riding. I could have gotten a black scoot, they had one in stock and offered me a free top case if I bought it, but I ordered a red one and waited a month to get it, just to be a little easier to see. With 21 HP, I didn't have the option of powering away from a possible situation, so visibility was what I had to go with.

I got the bike first. My gear doesn't match the bike, but it matches each other. I did that on purpose to hopefully make myself more distinguishable on the roads.

First bike, dude gave me a shit helmet with the bike, I rode it home which was about 15 miles and parked the bike. I had to do some minor repairs to the bike, mainly cosmetic, so I ordered my own helmet, jacket, and gloves.

I timed my repairs so they wouldn't be ready until my stuff came in, didn't want to risk taking it out with just some no name helmet on my head.
