I really needed a new computer, but no amazing game machine, so with 300 bucks I built this.
    NEC 19" crt monitor
Chyang fun atx case with psu
    amd athlon xp 1800+
arctic cooling super silent pro tc heatsink and fan
    biostar m7ncd pro mobo
    nec 1300a dvd+-rw drive
    old floppy drive
blue cold cathode 80 mm case fan plus the one it came with
Western digital 80 gig HD with 8mb cache
512mb pc2100 ram that I dont have yet
I believe thats all, will be just what I need, and a lot better than a 667 celeron hp system that i currently have

  5. What parts were old and new? There is NO WAY you built that with $300.. looks great and I'm sure the difference in speed is supersonic.

Absolutely nothing in the computer is old, I have to buy a 5 dollar floppy, and find a good deal on ram.

How did you get your HSF for $9? I ordered the same one and it was $17 after shipping. Also how did you get your case for $25?
